hi:D. i'm noob/olizxd, 15y.o, spanish, passionate Unity game developer who is still learning and does game jams to have fun :-)
i've started gamedev since i was 12 to 13 y.o i started learning Unity with Game Maker's Toolkit's Tutorial and started to make an Earthbound-like game including some of my friends called TK:RPG, but was put on hiatus (potentially discontinued) becuase of the concept of an RPG being too big of a game to me as a beginner (#1 rule of gamedev basically broken). to make my first game, I entered the GMTK's 2024 Game Jam with Structural Integrity, ending up in the top 50%.
after GMTK's Jam I tried to make games for other jams (eg. Brackeys 24.2 & 25.1 Game Jams, Coco Code Game Jam #1), but failed to submit in time due to overscoping, until my second game nearly 1 year later: TimeTower for the second Coco Code Game Jam #2.
some months without making games later, the Stop Killing Games movement rised and the SKG Community Game Jam was made to celebrate it, hosted by DVH and PotatoGameDev. this would change my perspective on game jams, this being the smallest, but most fun, exciting, welcoming and involucred with its community. one of the best jams i've been part of <3. my submission Summiter ended up successful, placing 15th ^^!
this greatly contrasted with GMTK 2025, which rapidly turned stressful and not as enjoyable and significant as SKGCGJ. however, i still decided to make a game, Untitled: (the game!). although i planned to do this game with a team, i failed to direct one and the game took inspiration of the situation instead, being about a developer struggling to make a good enough game for the player. this made that it was compared a lot with Thomas Was Alone.
